  • Position Description

    **Active TS/SCI w/FSP required**

     

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Establish and maintain a version control baseline of all software and hardware configuration items.
    • Log into Linux systems to track and verify hardware and software baseline configuration items
    • Conduct baseline audits
    • Work with government leadership and other configuration managers to establish processes, procedures, and tool sets to allow for the organization to easily maintain accurate configuration management on their configuration items
    • Establish and manage inventory of hardware and software licenses and in-use/stored network devices
    • Manage patching of deployed items and serve as property officer
    • Order, track and manage Government equipment in unclassified and classified facilities
    • Establish CM processes that don't currently exist and provide big picture guidance to leadership
    • Serve as an adviser to CCBs
    • Verify engineering documentation is received by the enhancement, implementation, and sustainment teams in the proper electronic format
    • Maintain complete, accurate, and legible changes of engineering drawings and that required documentation are properly incorporated into the documents
    • Perform physical configuration audits to validate captured baseline
    • Prepare drawing packages for procuring information assurance products
    • Plan, scope, and prepare the appropriate SSP documentation to include legacy systems
    • Maintain the SSP to ensure compliance with Government security requirements to support new network additions
    • Ensure operational security is maintained for specific Information Systems and report status and changes to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM)
    • Maintain monthly metrics by capturing and consolidating changes to the SSPs

    Position Requirements:

    • 6 to 10+ years as a Configuration Manager with a Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university
    • Experience with command-line Linux (RedHat 5.x)
    • Experience with establishing and maintaining a version control baseline of all software and hardware configuration items
