Position Description

Title of Position: Technical Writer

 

Description of Position: 

  • Work with the Technical Lead to receive approved tasking.
  • Attend meetings (and present technical materials if requested by the Technical Lead, PM, or COR) and document any highlights, issues, or concerns.
  • To document any requirements and compose requirements documents.
  • To compose white paper documenting development efforts, as needed.
  • To send any team documented instructions.
  • To maintain wiki and portal verbiage.

Education and Experience Required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical field 
  • Proven experience working in a technical writing position 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficiency in MS Office 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences 
  • Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking

Clearance Requirement:

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph
